A read-only query is generated against those tables. Anything that would change a record is rejected before it runs, not after.
Check the result
The result is sanity-checked against the question. An empty or implausible answer prompts a second attempt rather than a confident sentence.
Explain the finding
The answer comes back in business language, with the figures, the chart and the query that produced them.
